Le Musée de Parfum Fragonard - a fragrant event

Wednesday the 5th of October we visited the museum "Le Musée de Parfum Fragonard". We were lucky enough to directly get four spots for a free tour in English. The entrance also didn't cost us anything. Usually, it's required to make a reservation for the tour which is available in French and English. The museum already caught our eyes when we walked away from the opera towards the "Rue Scribe". When we entered the building, we were astonished by its beauty and its neat interior. The staff was extremely helpful and didn't mind any inconvenience concerning language problems. At 11 am our tour started, and we basically had a private tour even though there were a lot of other people visiting at the same time. Our tour guide told us something about the raw materials of perfume, the meaning of perfume the evolution of fragrances and the unique flacons. She also told us how perfume is being and used to be produced. After approximately 20 minutes in the few but still beautifully designed rooms, we had the chance to stop by the shop of Fragonard. She showed us different types of fragrances and we were allowed to test them out. The shop also offers soaps, lotions and so on. There's something for everybody. We even ended up buying a soap, a lotion and a perfume, which all weren’t too pricey. To conclude we would definitely recommend visiting the very modern and lovely furnished museum. It was very easy to get there. We didn't have to pay anything for this amazing experience. The only thing we find fault with, is that in the shop and sometimes in the few rooms of the museum it got a bit crowded.
